More layouts

Kevin and Jillian in Cozumel.
I took over 100 pictures of everyone on the slides on the Carnival Fantasy! We spent our days on the ship laying out by the slides so that Jillian could be on them. I can't wait to scrap these!!!!

This lo is one of my favorites that I've done lately. I adore these papers and the pictures are dear to me. Our whole family loves the beach, and I enjoyed capturing Jillian and her bff Lynzi playing at Biloxi Beach!

Jillian and I are HUGE Kenny Chesney fans! Did I say huge? Yep!!! We have been to 3 of his concerts in Lafayette and even got to meet him at the 2nd one. Anyway--this LO is our Kenny Chesney Concert. What a Great time we had. Toni Guillory and her daughter Simone came with us. Thanks to Toni for the Great pics of Kenny and Sugarland!

I'm Back!

This lo was done in June. I finally got to do this July 4th, 2007 lo. I used buttons, stickles and my stamps to add more pizzaz.
I just love these papers and thought they would be perfect for Rhetts birthday pics. I even used left over chipboard negatives, distressed them and backed my journaling with it.

This is Erin and Jillian cooling off at the resort in Cozumel. We spent the day at the Wyndham Resort and Spa. It was Perfect!

This was a picture of us on our last night on the Ship. It just doesn't look right without Rhett in the picture! He had to stay home because of work--we really missed him!

This is a picture of myself and my longtime bff who lives in California. Erin and I stayed with them while we were in Cali! Ceci and I went to Santa Barbara that day.

Wow, what a busy Summer! Sorry I've been gone so long--4 days after my last post, Kevin's Mother passed away. We had the funeral and are still mourning the loss of an AWESOME mother in law and Grandmother! Had Jillian's Dance Recital the day we burried Mrs Lou and the next day. The next two weeks we tried to get our lives somewhat "normal". Went to New Orleans for a friends daughters wedding, then went to California the next week with my oldest Daughter, Erin. Missed my husbands birthday and Fathers day so made up for that when I returned. Celebrated my son, Rhett's 20th Birthday and left 2 weeks later for our summer vacation--a Cruise to Progresso Mexico and Cozumel. Whew!!!!!! That brings me up to today! Now we are just preparing for the new school year. Erin starts her 2nd year of Medical School Monday July20th. Go Erin!!!! Jillian will be a 6th grader and has grown so much this summer that NOTHING fits from last year! We are starting a weight loss contest at the Studio this week so I know I will still be busy! I have gotten to scrap a little in between everything. Am taking a class from Wendy at TM this weekend and hoping to get back into the crop mood. Thanks for sticking with me, I will try to post more often!

These are some pictures from the fitness retreat

Wow! I hadn't realized its been so long since I've posted. My world has been topsy turvy since I returned from NY. Kevin's mom's health has been declining. Throughout the last month she has been put into the nursing home, fell and broke her leg, had a subdural hematoma and was hospitalized. She is back at the nursing home and holding her own.
At the same time Toni and I at the Studio had a Fitness Retreat at Chicot State Park, we cooked, talked and worked everyone out pretty hard! It was alot of fun and took alot of planning. In between all this we had 2 weekends of Recital pictures for Jillian.
I haven't been able to scrap any pages because of all this. I have been making travel journals! I was so pumped!!!! After several people saw the journals I made for my sisters, 4 people asked me to make some for their own trips to New York. I have JUST finished the last one and will be delivering it tomorrow! Whew!!!!! I love making them but want to do a "Summer" themed one. I am hoping to be able to get back to scrappin some pages by next weekend.
Thanks for checking in to my busy life!!!

We're Back!!!

Having lunch at "Juniors". Brisket Sandwich, yumyum!
Look at us on GMA!!! From l-r, Penny (wearing blue), Me (grey) and Wendy (red). We are stars!

Me and Jenea Naquin in Brooklyn. Jenea is from Eunice but lives in Brooklyn. She works on contract for several designers. Some of the purses she worked on are featured at Henri Bendel and are going to be in an article in Elle Magazine! We had a great visit!

New York will never be the same now that the Fruge Girls have left!!! haha What a trip!!!! We walked all over Manhattan! As much as I am used to working out, I don't think I have ever walked so much in so many days! From the time we woke up, till we went to bed we were walking! And up and down those steps to the subway!!!! I kept reminding my sisters that they were put there to be our interval workouts!

Good Morning America was a blast! Got to see one of my favorite Country Artists, John Rich and was seen on TV by family and friends. My feet are blistered, I am sleep deprived and I have memories to fill 5 scrapbooks! Once I have recovered I will start scrappin and postin. Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Layouts from the weekend

This is one of the one page layouts I have done recently. I love this dotted swiss paper and it went with the pictures so well I just had to use it! I was able to get many angles of Jillian's baptism and enjoyed putting them all on this layout.
This layout was of Kevin's family. His father had had a heart attack and everyone came to Eunice when he was released from the hospital. He is doing fine and I was able to get a picture of them all!
This is a layout I have been waiting to try. As you can probably see, I don't like a lot of white space. But I felt that these pictures needed white space. I am so glad I recorded our annual process of dying eggs. Thanks for checking in.

Recent layouts

This is my version of Wendy's Valentine Layout at Treasured Memories. I completed it at home. I have never done a layout about Kevin and me, so I decided to use some of our pictures on the layout.
This layout was the one that I had almost completed at the Mega Crop. I finished it a few nights ago. I love these glitter papers, and even though it is a layout for my son the colors matched their tuxes perfectly! Thanks for checking in.

Mega Crop Fun

Here are a few more pictures from the Mega Crop. This one is of my 2" partners in crime" from the mega crop. Heather worked all over the place for the whole crop and Lisa G. also worked her booty off but was my next door neighbor when we cropped.Go girls!
. Here is the official 2008 DT member Mega Crop photo. We all really missed Jeanne and Charlotte but tried to have enough fun all of us! Mandi-wow-she was a working girl! Not only is she good on the register, but she can really pose for a picture!

I just had to add this picture. Can you believe all the croppers?!? We had wall to wall scrappin going on! I even got Monica working it in the corner!
With all us scrapbookers in the room, can you believe Wendy and I didn't get any pictures from our Travel Journal class we taught! I couldn't believe I forgot to take pictures!!!! Oh well, we had a great time and will try to find out if any one else has pictures. Have a good day!

WOW, it sure flew by fast!!!! I cannot believe it has already come and gone. What a weekend it was! First of all--the girls at TM ROCK!!! Monica, Connie, Melissa, Wendy, JoDeen, Corinn, Mandi,Heather and Janet did a GREAT job keeping things going and organized this weekend. Thanks girls! Also, Heather B., and Lisa G from the 2008 design team worked their booties off to help the TM girls.

Anyway--I have to say, Friday night Toni Guillory and I shut it down at 2am. I knew I would do it at least one night. We also had a great class Friday for the Paris Travel Journal. Thank you to all who attended. It was a long class and I appreciated your attention. Yalls journals came out so good!

I promised some pictures of the layouts I did. I have a few finishing touches to do on my last one so I'll post it later this week. These are all single pages, I think I like scrappin one page layouts. Thanks for checking in and leave a comment if you can.

DMA Chapter #3 STADT Competition

WooHoo!!! We made it back from the DMA chapter #3 Competition in Houston. This is a picture of our Junior Competition Group. They received a Silver award for their Jazz performance to Disturbia. Great Job girls! Jillian and Zoe Berzas were our Junior Solo Competitors. We are so very proud of their performances. This was both of their 1st time doing Solo's. Great Job Jilly & Zoe!!!! They took this picture right before their interviews with Mrs Oliva (their Dance Teacher). I am expecting Jillians photo's of her solo soon. I will post it when I get them.
thanks for checking it out.

Here is another single page layout I just did. Jillian loves cats, and this was the first cat we ever had. His name was Tigger! This cat was special, he would let Jillian carry him around and play with him like a baby doll. He also hung out with our outside dog Belle. They would sleep together in the dog house when it was cold and they would play tag with each other. He no longer is with us but I wanted to do this layout to document how great he was. Thanks for checking in.

Clipboard Frames

Next weekend, Feb 20-22, my daughter, Jillian, is competing in a dance competition in Houston. The girls performing solo's get "good luck" gifts for each other. I decided I wanted to make small clipboard frames for each of them. I matched the colors of the girls costumes to the papers and flowers on their individual frame. I purchased these small acrylic clipboards at Walmart and covered them with the papers. I placed the photo mat in center and embellished with flowers and bling. On the back, I have each girls name, Song title and the year. I am happy with these results. They are cute, and didn't take too long to make. Wish us luck next weekend! Go Jilly!

Valentines Day

I wanted everyone to see the Beautiful flowers my children sent me for Valentines Day! I was VERY surprised to get them. Erin-who lives allthe way in Shreveport-arranged to have these delivered from all three of them. I have the GREATEST KIDS ever!!!!

single page layouts

I usually scrap 2 page lo's but have started doing some 1page lo's. I like the fact that you can use one or 2 pictures and they don't look lost. This one was pretty simple, I covered the chipboard circles with coordinating papers and inked the chipboard flowers. After that I just layered papers and pictures.
I like this layout. I really like this paper from Fancy Pants. It is the "Office Space" from The Daily Grind collection. I also used a Fancy Pants transparancy over the center picture. I stickled the designs then stickled the red flowers and used bling on them. I also inked some Tim Holtz Grunge Board, and used some left over tickets to journal. The Birthday title is some old stickers I found in my stash. Thanks for checking in.

My favorite Journal

I am so excited about this journal! I had made part of mine but had run out of the same papers that I had used for my sisters journals. This past week something hit me and I found some creative juices to finish MY New York Journal. I like all the tags and pull outs. I am a "list maker" and I always record my daily activities when I am on a trip (you know, I am afraid I will forget the order that I did things in). Anyway--I wanted to post this one because I think it is my best yet. Thanks for looking. I am hoping to scrap this weekend so maybe I will post more next week. I can only hope!

TM Nov & Dec Calendar LO"s

December Calendar Class LO. I love this one, I think its cause I really like the picture of Rhett and Erin goofing off together (we don't get many of these) and of Jillian being her usual perky self.
This is the Nov LO. I am a sucker for yellow and oranges and really like the colors! Both of these lo's are pictures of my family going on our annual Christmas tree hunting trip. This one is from 2006. Thanks Wendy for your creativity!

I'm Back!

Well, I am finally Back! Sorry its been so long, but since the last post life has been crazy! Not only was there Snow, Christmas, New Years and the start of my busy season at work (Everyone wants to work out now!) but I had a bout of bronchitis that kept me feeling bad for 4 weeks and my Mother in law's health has been dwindling. All that being said, I am still blessed beyond my greatest imaginations!!! My husband and I are both employed, my daughter Erin is doing well in Medical School, my son Rhett is working and making us proud, and Jillian is keeping me on my toes with 5th grade and Dance Competition. I have done some scrappin, and have included some of what I've been doing since November. The book was loaded backwards(sorry) but here it is. I made 5 of these before Christmas. My sisters and I are going to New York in March for the 1st time. I decided to make each of us a Travel Journal for Christmas!!! Talk about keep me busy!!!! This is one of the finished products. I used New York and Sister papers to do the album. These 2 pages are to record our trips to China Town, shopping and some of the places this sister (Melody) wants to go.

The pages have flaps that open to pockets that we can put receipts, tickets, etc from our trip.

This is the cover of the journal.

This is the only scrap layout I have completed since November. I love the silver paper and I used the cut black paper and prima flowers. I did go to Wendy's Christmas class inDecember. I will try to post that lo tomorrow. I hope you enjoy these projects. In March Treasured Memories is putting on a Mega Crop. Wendy Reaux and I will be teaching a class similar to the journals above. Go to Treasured Memories website and get a peak andsign up if you like it. Thanks for checking in!
