Treasured Memories Design Team #2

We were given products from TM and rules of how to not use the products. We were to fulfill at least 3 out of 8 techniques. I was given the orange laser cut paper from KI and Buzz & Bloom chipboard and frames. We had to use some of each product but didn't have to use all.

The rules--The chipboard couldn't be painted, glittered or stickled. We also had to include 3 of the following 8--1. use lots of pictures, 2. layer, layer, layer, 3. use 2 techniques to do your title, 4.use laser cut paper not as background, 5. use sewing on layout as a design, 6. use ephemera, 7. journal in a new way, or 8.use cut out designs from patterned paper. *I used 5 of the 8--woohoo!!!

I used Bazzill White and Black card stock. I used my laser cut paper as a mask to make a silver border around the white card stock. I used silver metallic paint pen to color the laser paper and the chipboard corners and accents. I then tore the laser paper and used it as the back for my journaling block and to balance my LO on the right side and under the frame. I used 4 pictures (one 8x11). I then took the chipboard frame, cross, photo corners and long petals and covered them with crinkled aluminum foil. I dripped Ranger alcohol inks in Slate and Currant over the foils and let it dry. I layered everything, including my grandfathers obituary card. I then tied burgundy and black ribbons onto the laser paper, and the frame. I accented the perimeter, cross, photo corners and flowers with burgundy dew drops. I copied a page from my grandfathers memory book and aged it. I then took Heidi Swapp Ghost letters and used the laser paper as a mask to ink them. I adhered ribbon and glued them down. My journaling block is distressed with silver ink, torn and in my own handwriting. Whew!!! By the way, I dreamed about this layout, then completed it within a week. This is dedicated to my Paw Paw!
